Subject: DOES ANYONE REMEMBER ERNIE C. SHAW

Comments: There are more words in the description of Ernie's
death but they
don't give us anymore information than the one line
I wrote
above. If anyone knew Ernie or remembers the
circumstances
surrounding his death I would like more
information.
Was there an accident in the arms room, did he
shoot himself,
what really happened. I don't know what my
grandparents thought
of the description in the notice they received
from the military
but I would have been frustrated and wanted to
know more details.
If you don't know circumstances surrounding his
death but you
knew him and would be willing to share your
thoughts about Ernie
I would love to hear from you.

Keywords: Ernie was killed in the company arms room in
September 1951.
Ernie was assigned to the 155th Transportation Port
Company.

Comments: Ernie C. Shaw was my uncle. I never knew him personally
but through stories my mother told me about him he
would have been the life of any party and you can see
that in photos of him. He appears to be a glowing happy
person and his life was cut short in Korea.
The only information the family received regarding his
death was that it was a non combat death. If there is
anyone who knew him in the 155th Transportation Port
Company who could share any information about
friendships or the circumstances of his death I would
greatly appreciate it.
Thanks, and thanks for your service

Richard K. Shaw

Comments: To all members of the 155th Tranportation Port Company. The MacArthur Memorial has just acquired a very large collection from Milliard Calvin Bell who served with the 155th in Korea. There are many hundreds of photos. We have some identifications, but if anyone can help we would love to hear from them.

sincerely,

My father, Jerry Moskowitz(Bronx, NY), served in the 155th
Transportation Unit in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He would very much like to hear from anyone that was assigned to the
155th. Some of his buddies which he fondly remembers are Houllihan
Whitman, Sam Sommers and John F. Williams. If you can lend any help to
my father contacting guys from the 155th please e-mail me, Scott, at

Thank you.
