From the Korean War Project September 12, 2001Remember New York Remember The Pentagon Dear Friends,
Hal and I wish to express our
deepest condolences to the personnel, families and friends of the military, federal and civilian employee's at the Pentagon who have been affected by the attack of Tuesday, September 11th.
We hope for news that men and women
who were inside the Pentagon will be found alive and can only pray that is so.
Further, for those brave members of the New York Metropolitan Emergency Response teams to include the EMS, Fire, Police and New York Port
Authority who have perished, there are no words to properly acknowledge their sacrifice.
To the families and friends of those aboard the aircraft who perished and to the many thousands of family and friends of all who were
in the WTC buildings or vicinity, our thoughts are with you in this horrible tragedy.
I wish to express our personal support of the firm resolve of our Government to ferret out those responsible and to swiftly administer
justice.
To all of our women and men on duty in the Armed Forces, stay well and be prepared.
To Prime Minister Tony Blair of Great Britain, "Thank you" for the firm statement that so elequently expressed
what many of us have not been able to say.
God Bless America!
