Comments: Private Johnson was a member of the 24th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on September 9, 1951. Per his daughter, he was born in Alachua, Florida but his mother moved to North Carolina where he attended schools in Greensboro. After she died his sister moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey where he entered the US Army. Records indicate he changed his birth date to be able to enlist. Born February 24, 1929. He was underage.
Husband of Mrs. Ertha Johnson of Pleasantville, New Jersey. Son of Addie Johnson.
