Subject: 8th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron (Photo Jet) 

The 8th TRS (Photo Jet) was the precursor to the 15th TRS.  From the
beginning of the war until Feb 1951 it flew out of Japan and Taegu.

In Feb 1951 the 67th Tac Recon Group was organized, and the 8th TRS
became the 15th.  Of interest,  the 2nd Marine Tac Recon Squadron
(VMJ-2(?)) was attached to the 67th for film processing and some mission
assignments.
