Just wanted to know if you had any listing for my Brother,
John H. Nyhuis who was listed as MIA while flying an FPF
Panther from the carrier Valley Forge CV-45 on 12 Aug 1950 near
the No Korean village of Cum Chon (sp?).
I've spoken with his wing mate so I have a pretty good idea of what
happend that day, but there has been no further information since 1954.

I am attempting to write a book about the aircraft Carrier U.S.S
Valley Forge CV-45 during the first 6 months of the Korean War.
Contact with members of the crew for information will sure help.
I can not afford to go to press with this item. I really would like to
make the info I have accumulated over the past few years available to
any interested persons. I am making the final re-write and have
decided to print and publish with a paper cover. I want to market it
for cost. In other words I will have a local printer reproduce my
pages and and I will assemble and staple it together. It will be
available for cost of printing plus the postage.

Hi, I'm looking for information on the USS Valley Forge CV-45 which my
uncle served on. His name is Donald Haines. If you are aware of any
information I can pass on to him, I would appreciate it.

I finally determined that my father was in Attack Squadron 55 on the
carrier Valley Forge, summer of 1950.
I am the daughter of a Korean War veteran, Don Richard Stephens, who was
the first air casualty in the Korean War. He served aboard the carrier
Valley Forge in the summer of 1950 and died a month before I was born.
It is my deepest desire to obtain more information about my father's
death. Is there a Navy contact whom I could contact?
Your response would be gratefully received by my family, and we thank
you from the bottom of our hearts for any information you might have.
