Subject: Korean War
I am a complete novice at this AOL/Internet business but have found
your Korean War project. It is most interesting to me!
I served as an Army Aviator with the 40th Infantry Division in
Korea 1953/54. In an effort to find out more about what really
happened there.I have accumulated a personal library of over 500
volumes on the Korean War. Have used these books to help other Korea
vets find information they are seeking.
In recent years several of us have been trying to locate former
members ofthe 40th Division Aviation Company (P) and earlier division
air section units (1952-1954). We have names and addresses for about
30 men from a list of some 100 names.
I was assigned to the 625th FA Bn but served TDY as an Army Aviator with
the 40th Div Avn Co (P). We had a number of artillery observers come
down to us from the 224th and other regiments as well as FA Bns,
Tank Co, etc.
I am hopeful your club can help locate others.

I am always searching for former members of the various air sections
(lightaviation) and later 40th Division Aviation Company (P) from
January 1952through May 1954 when the division was returned from Korea
to California. We are looking for pilots, observers, mechanics,
security and admin personnel.
I served as an Army aviator with the unit from Sept 53
through May 54.
Many thanks for anything you can turn up.
