My father is looking for these gentlemen. All I know is he was
a cook and i assume these gentlemen were also. Any information
on further searches we can do or anything you can do to help is
greatly appreciated.
I am very proud of my father and chose to serve my country largely
because he was very proud to do so.
I want to help him in his endeavour to find these friends and think
that what you guys are doing with this web site is wonderful.
My fathers name is Wallace J. Wortman, he is from Isabel SD. If you
need further info please let me know. I am new at this kind of thing.

My name is Kimberly Floyd. My father served in Korea and until recently
has not shown any interest in locating any of the gentlemen he served
with. He has recently begun to speak with me about his experiences in
Korea and expressed an interest in locating anyone with whom he might
have served.
We are not sure of certain dates and locations. However, I do know the
following: he was in the 24th headquarters signal company. He was
with them from approx. mid-1952 thru the latter part of 1954. He worked
running the wire lines. He has mentioned "Punchbowl" to me many times.
As I understand, this is a slang geographical designation for the area
he spent most of his time in Korea in or near.
I would be extremely grateful for any help you could give me.
Thank you,
Kimberly Floyd
