I had a Tape and Record Recorder and all the country singers at night would gather and have a ball. I invented a Silencer for M1 rifle and carb. yes I was the one that fired 4 20 mm rounds over the theater area one night on a screw-up I did every so often--was a Seattle VMF-216 Reservest. was a plane Captian there. He had been flying from the Badoeing Straight for a few months, but according to his logbook, switched to flying from the USS Rendova in December of 1951. The story I have heard is that his F4U Corsair had been hit over land, he was able to bailout at sea, but was dragged by his parachute and drowned. I have yet to meet or talk to anyone who knew my dad during WW II or the Korean War. He also flew the Corsair in WWII. I would really appreciate any information that anyone might have. Keywords: |
