He was part of the 6th Marine Fleet on the USS Salem Med. Cruise which left the States in May of 1950 and then he embarked from Japan to Inchon on the USS Bexar. I believe he was assigned to the 3d Bn. 7th marines. After Chosin he returned stateside and became a Drill Instructor @ Parris Island in '51- 52. Served with I Co in 1953 and was KIA July 19, 1953 near Outpost Berlin. Was found and repatriated 9 months later, along with fellow Marines V. Rosetto and C. Nowoczynski. Previously served around Punchbowl in 1951, possibly with Weapons Company, 3nd B, 7th Marine. Was wounded 4x. We know very little of his time in Korea, have no pictures of his Co, etc. We would greatly appreciate any info or suggestions for further research. SSGT Ullman was a platoon leader, though we do not know which platoon. was wounded around July 12 1953 near Ganjii-Dong, Korea. Thanks, God bless. The stories are horrible what he went through. He was in Korea from Dec. 1950-Oct. 1951. I'm looking for information on him. I have a stack of photos he took while in Korea. One photo is of his platoon leader.
