Looking for anyone who served with him. I have searched for a particular friend of his named Juan Claun, but have not had any success. Found this web-site by lucky accident. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Comments: I am an author and wish to dedicate my next book to my uncle, PFC Lawrence L. Lewis, USMC, H-3-5, KIA 21 Sep 05.
I cannot find out the exact location of H-3-5 on that day. I only know that he was killed by mortar fire and had only been in the unit a few days.
Can anyone help me? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

photos of H/3/5 in a place called Kimpo? |

Comments: My Uncle was Sgt. Robert Pierce and I have photos of h/3/5 at a place I think is Kimpo... at least that is what is written in the album. I have scanned the album and am willing to share the photos. Does anyone remember a Sgt. Pierce, it was his second tour as he was in WWII also. Uncle Bob and other were shot up pretty bad on a patrol and were retrieved by other marines coming to their aid... Johnny Saunger (Spelling of last name may not be correct) from Cincy was among the rescue party crew.
Thanks Dick Pierce

Comments: I'm looking for anyone able to provide information on PFC Jerome Mangner. He is still listed as MIA from 26 Mar 53. I presume he was at Outpost Vegas but am unsure. This is my first post on any website so this is very preliminary research. I'm currently a Lt Col in the AF and my middle name is Jerome (after him), so I feel a special tie to my late uncle.
Thanks for any help I can receive.

I was a member of H-3-5, in 1953 & 1954, came with the 23rd Draft and spent my 11 months touring the MLR,getting back to Treasure Island about a week before the truce was signed. Unofficial web site for H-3-5 |

Kenneth Wooster wrote on 2004-09-01 10:42:20.0
Comments: I have created an unofficial web site for H-3-5 at http://skaneateles.org/H-3-5-Marines/
Featured are many items that I have archived from the H-3-5 Newsletter when "Rats" was editor.
Also included is my memoir of Sgt. Harold E. Riker of H-3-5, who was mortally wounded on 14 February 1951 and died six days later. This memoir contains everything that I have been able to research about the location of H-3-5 during their first arrival in Pusan until about the time of the Pohang Guerrilla Hunt. Although my focus was on Harold, anyone else who was in the company or had loved ones in the company may find my record interesting and useful. Corrections and additions are certainly welcome.
BTW, who has taken up the task of publishing the H-3-5 newsletter? Dick Pelley and his daughter were apparently taking up the job that "Rats" had so faithfully done, but recently I have heard that they have passed the job on to someone else.
