He had long been battling both Diabetes and Parkinson's disease. He is buried in Tracy, CA, where he grew up prior to joining the Marines. He was in Korea 1950-1952 and was involved in the Inchon conflict. He expressed many many times throughout his life how proud he was to have served the US as a Marine, and this period in his life had a huge influence on his way of "being" in the world and on his value system. I am his youngest child and only daughter. I miss him terrible, and so am curious to dig further into the life he lead before I came along. I would love to hear stories about him from those who served directly with him, as well as stories about that conflict itself.
