LOOKING FOR MARINES WHO SERVED WITH SSGT WILLIAM A WOOD |
| JAY ROBINSON wrote on February 7, 2012 City and State: ATTLEBORO MA Unit: Service or Relationship: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: I am a family member of Billy's. I promised my Mom I would do everything possible to bring Billy's remains home to Hyde Park NY. We never had a funeral. We want to bury him next to his Mom. We have conflicting reports of whether or not he was buried at Koto Ri during the fighting retreat from the Chosin Reservoir. I am looking for anyone who may have served with him in Korea. Especially anyone who can confirm he was buried at Koto Ri. Semper Fidelis Keywords: Chosin Reservoir, 1st Marine Div USMC, Koto Ri, Punchbowl, Ordinance Maitenance Battalion |

He was in Korea for 13 months and Viet Nam for 26 months. He never spoke of where he was or what battles he fought in. It was too hard. It would mean a great deal to me if ANYONE who knew him or his platoon to fill me in on a huge part of my life that is missing. Thank you. God Bless our Vets. Keywords: Berlin "Leon" Achord |
