Comments: My Father was a Navy Corpsman HM1 Patrick D.
Fitzpatrick (Fitz). Not overly talkative about his
tour in Korea, being a retired Master Chief I can
understand why. Would like to here from anyone that
may have served with him in Korea. I got the dates
from his History of Assignments. He spent most of
his carrer with the Marines as an Indepent Duty
Corpsman. In fact I actually only have one picture of
him in his Dress Blues. The rest are in Greens.

Comments: Dear Marines, Corpsmen, and their Families,

My name is Erin Ruth, I am a student at Arizona State University, and I am writing a nonfiction narrative based on the heroic actions of Willaim R. Charette of the Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, on the 27th of March, 1953. I am looking to correspond with Marines and Corpsmen that served with Charette, Marines and Corpsmen that were part of the F Company 2/7, and/or Marines and Corpsmen that had any part in the counterattack on Vegas Hill. Also if there is any possibility that Charette's children or grandchildren read this message, I would really appreciate any information from them as well. I have included a link to the caption of Charette's Medal of Honor if that may be of any help to anyone.

Thank you very much for your time!

Respectfully,
Erin Ruth

Comments: Throughout the past two years, thanks to this website, I've received scores' of e-mails regarding photographs of the Easy Med compound--lstMedBN, lstMarDiv.-- taken (presumably) near Panmunjom, circa 1951-1952, by my now-deceased father, former HM2 L.F. Leibold. The vast majority of the photographs are of a personal nature (i.e., 'downtime' of G 3/7 Marines and Corpsmen, and assorted glimpses' of off-duty hours around the compound), while others' are of a much more official, and therefore graphic, nature (i.e., the O.R. during the standard workday, and Med-Evac helo arrivals). I would like to share these photos with visitors to this webpage, but am unsure if it is possible (or officially permissible) to scan them to the site. I will welcome all suggestions on the matter. Last, my deep appreciation to the owners' of this site, and, of course, my everlasting love and gratitude to the men of lstMarDiv., 1950-1953. God bless each and every one of you and your families.

Comments: THOSE TERRIBLE NIGHTS ON THOSE HILLSIDES UNDER THE CONSTANT POPPING OF FLARES ARE TOO HORRIBLE
TO CONTEMPLATE. WE MADE OUR START OF A FOXHOLE IN A MORTAR CRATER, HOPING A WIND SHIFT WOULD KEEP THE NEXT ONE OUT OF OUR HOLE. WE KEPT VEGAS BUT
IT WAS LATER LOST BY THE TURKISH TROOPS WHO WERE ANNIALATED. TOM McCANN and I KEPT TRACK OF EACH OTHER RIGHT UP TO DISCHARGE AT TREASURE ISLAND IN
1955. TEMPIS FUGIT. I WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT ANY CORPSMEN WHO WERE IN THAT FIGHT. I WAS TEMPORARILY ATTACHED TO "FOX" CO. FOR A WHILE, WHEN THEIR MEDICS BECAME WOUNDED. TOM WAS INVOLVED IN THE "LITTLE SWITCH" OPERATION IN THE SUMMER OF 1953. BY THAT TIME WE WERE SERVING AT "ABLE" MED. CO. ANY and ALL RESPONSES WILL BE ANSWERED E-MAIL ADD. pillroller@voyager.net
MY DUTY WITH THE MARINE WERE THE BEST OF MY 4 YEARS IN THE NAVY, INCLUDING AIEA HTS NAVAL HOSPITAL , T.H. 1954-1955

LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON CORPS. TED PAILLETTE (SP?)

Comments: I am looking for information on Corpsman Ted Paillette. I am not sure if that is the correct spelling of his name. He went through medical training with my father and went to Korea. He was possibly KIA in Korea in 1952. His name does not appear on any KIA rosters however. It did appear on a 1st MarDiv "honor roll" posted sometime in 1950 of which my father has carried since then.

I am wondering if there was a mistake and Ted might still be living. My father has had survivors guilt since 1953 when he returned home and his buddy did not. I would like to close the loop on this issue for him as he is getting up in age. Any information at all would be helpful. Thanks
