Update: He was in the 2nd platoon of How Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Division.

He was killed on Hill 111, July 25, 1953. A gentleman here in Alabama, saw my post and contacted me - he was in 1st platoon of How Company and was there that night.

He arrived as part of the 2nd Marine Reinforcements, in 1953, then became a part of 1st.

Comments: Would like to locate Pfc. George T. Jacobson USMC S/N 1052249, wounded on Hill 902 April 23-24,'51, grenade head in right shoulder.

Discharged in'52 at Treasure Island. He joined up from California. "Jake" is last man unfound from 1951APRIL 5th Sq. MGs, 3rd Platoon, G-3-1.

Buddies C.W., Danny, Mark, Bill & Milt, Corpsman Leeson won't stop looking until we find George or his headstone. Any help will be much appreciated. Semper fidelis.

Home town listed as Long Beach, CA, according to a 1951 entry in a notepad carried by G-3-1's 3rd Platoon TSgt. Harold E. Wilson, MOH, now deceased.
