Comments: Would like to hear from anyone knowing George Dumas. Was with Speedy Wilson when he earned his CMOH. George is well. He was wounded by shrapnel and small arms. I am a former FMF Corpsman (RVN 70-71) trying to help an old friend.

Comments: I'd love to hear from anyone who knew my father, PFC. Harold Gail Nutter, who served in George Company, 3rd.BN., 1st Marines at Boulder City. He died in 1959, when I was four years old. and I've missed a lot of years with him. He was nicknamed "Gits," and I think generally called "Hal." Two of his buddies were Rusty and Paul. If you have any info, I'd be grateful.

Comments: I am trying to locate information on Pfc Ivan C. Jackson, he was assigned to the 3/1 during the Korean War. He was in the landing at Inchon, wounded somewhere around Seoul. I believe at the Chosen Resevoir. He also served during WWII all I know about that service he was attached to the 424th Platoon and graduated from Basic in 1943 at San Diego. Any information on any type of action he was in during both wars and what he did would be great. I am a friend of the family and they are trying to put together information for his grandchildren. Thanks Ronald M.Reeves Jr. USAF/E-6 Retired, Security Forces

Comments: I am searching for someone who may know my Grandfather. What I know is that he was in the 2nd Marines and at Camp Legeune. In '52 he was sent to Korea as a replacement for the 1st Marines. I wish I knew more but that is just about it. He said he was located South of Seoul at a supply depot mainly. I would just like to hear any stories or info to be able to appreciate what my grandfather did for his country even more. Thanks

Dan Winans wrote on 2010-02-15 18:35:27.0
Comments: We have begun a history project at our Elementary school recognizing the vital contributions of our military veterans. We have began by interviewing vets from WWII and the Korean War. Will expand to Viet Nam and latest conflicts later. One of the vets interviewed is trying to locate a fellow Marine he served with in Korea. The vet searching is named Freeman White of Devine, Texas. He served with Item Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines carrying (and obviously using it numerous times with effective results!!) a Browning Automatic Rifle (30.06 cal.)Freeman proudly wears a minature purple heart medal on his collar. The Marine he is searching for is Wayne J. Wood. If any of you Korean vets remember Freeman White (a marine about 6'5" or 6'6")or Wayne J. Wood, please email me and I'll pass of the information.

Comments: My father-in-law was Leo Leach. We recently found books he highlighted with his dates of service and hand written details on the battlefields in the Chosin Reservoir area. We think he was there but all he would say is he was in Japan during the Korean War and that his job was to kill Chinese. He was in an artillery unit. Do you know him?
