My Korean War history is a little shaky, but I think that he was in the landing at Inchon and fought in the battle over Seoul very early in the war. As you can see, he died only a few months after the war began. My father has told me a little about my uncle, but I wanted to see if there were any memorials to Korean War casualties. Thanks for this web site!

By the grace of GOD and Sgt. Wade's training and expertise, I survived combat in Vietnam when situations seemed grim. Just wanted to thank him and see how he was doing. We served together at Lejeune in 1965. I remember that his wife had a baby at about that time and a group of us in his platoon helped him celebrate the event. Comments: I am looking for any information concerning my great uncle, Kenneth Lee Beasley who was KIA on April 6 1953. He was in D Co. 2nd Bn. 1st Marine Regiment 1st Marine Division. I have his purple hearts of which there are two, one has two silver stars on it, which has me confused. I have been told that he was a scout and saw the generals who were negotiating the peace process from the ditches on the sides of the road as they drove by. I have also been told that he was captured and kill while imprisoned. Any information would be most appreciated. I was also given his name, Kenneth Lee Calloway.
