Looking of those who knew Darold Dougal

Comments: I am looking for people who knew my father Darold Dougal. He is approaching his 80th Birthday and I would like to put together a scrapbook of comments or remembrances, even photos with him. FOX Co. 2/1 1st Marine Division from Sept. 52 to Sept. 53

Comments: My family would like to hear from anyone who knew my dad. I'm also a former Marine who served in Vietnam. Semper Fi Brothers.

Keywords: i'm interested in finding any of my Dad's fellow Marines who served with him. My passed away in January 2009. He seldomed talked of his experience while in Korea. My dad was Ronald "Chic" Smith and was a native american from Minnesota. He talked of the Chosin Reservoir a couple of times.

2nd Battalion 1st Marine regiment

Comments: They were evacuated by the 1st Provisional Casualty Company to the Hospital Ship Constallation, docked in Kobe, Japan. They were taken to the 382 General Hospital. On or around November 22 or 23, 1952 they were flown to Tokyo, Japan and boarded a ship to the US. The ship had mechanical problems but did make it to the US. They docked at Long Beach, California where they were givena parade and fanfare due to the amount of purple hearts awarded (9 Marines, 17 Purple Hearts)

Keywords: I am looking or induviduals who were with my father on September 29, 1952. Their bunker took a direct hit, destroying the bunker. My father (Jose B. Duran) being injured, pulled several injured marines from the bunker and gave them first aid. I am looking for witnesses or some of the injured marines

Charlie Max Gore

Comments: My dad was Charlie Max Gore. I know he served in the Marines around 50-52. He was in the Korean War enlisted in Houston,TX he was quite young and had to have his Uncle sign for him.I don't know much more than that. I do have photos. If anyone remembers him please contact me.

Comments: From Spt 9th 1951-19th, we were on Hill 749 and only a few made it back down unscathed.

Looking for men who I knew from the unit and from training back in San Diego.

Left Korea April of 1952 and had been listed on Bn rolls as MIA but did not know it.

Comments: Looking for Marines that knew my father, Leroy Gibson, in Korea. He was in 1st Marines, 2nd Battalion, Weapons Co.. Landed at Inchon and was at Chosin Resevoir. He is still with us but very ill and I wanted to see if any fellow Marines were out there that knew him.

Comments: I have a Korean flag, that my father had. Signed by others. Just had it framed, interested in it's real history. I also have my fathers picture albums from Korea.
