I then went to Camp Lejuene to Engineer school, then to Camp Pendleton from Jan. 1952 until May 1952, then left on the USS Meigs to Inchon,also in Seoul, Musan, Pusan, and all over. He was on he Canal" (Guadalcanal) along with some of the other NCOs in charge of our Platoon. He came from the "Slopchute" one night and cut one of our guys(a screw up) in the gut with a beer opener(slight wound). Somehow the powers to be got wind of it and he was brought up on charges and removed from the platoon, and I believe he went on to Korea. He was one tough "gyrene" and some of us respected him and would not give a bad report on him. He produced some honor platoons at PI. He was a marine's marine. "Gung Ho and Semper Fi Mac"

He served in the Marine Corp from 1956-1962. He was the victim of a gang-robbery in Wash. DC in 1966. He was killed just 3 months before his son, Robert was born. We are trying to find information, memories-pictures-info on where he was from. As of yet Mr. Edwards' son and grandson have no information on him at all. They don't even know what he looks like!
