Comments: Looking for guys I served with Kilo Battery, 4th
Battalion, 11th Marines. On LZ Ross (Firebase Ross)
June 1970-March 1971. Battery came home in March of
1971. I left a couple of weeks before that. I drove
a 5 ton truck. Hauled ammo & whatever. Took the mail
run to LZ Baldy. In support of 3/5 and 3/7 during
that time. Mike company 3/5 or 3/7 took a big hit
with mortars during that time. Lots of casulties
Can't remember which
one. One battalion left another took over and we
supporded both with artillery fire during their
tour.

Comments: Kimpo, Korea, June through Nov. 1952. I'm looking for anyone who remembers an accident coming back from hot chow one evening in a truck which had to stop on a barricaded incline and rolled backwards when it's motor quit. One of the three men who were moving the barricade was hit by the truck and thrown approx. twenty feet. He landed in a rice paddy under concertina wire. I think Lemons (who later lost his hand in a breech block accident) was one of those who was helping to move the barricade. I'm the one who was hit by the truck. If any of this rings a bell please e-mai or call or write at the above address. Thanks for your help. Ted Pelzer

Comments: Anyone remember the bulldozer operator that dug all the gun pits when we dug in in April 1966? That was me. Looking for people who might remember me. I was the one who brought more dirt to fill sand bags. I fell off the back of the truck when unloading ammo. I broke my leg when they called fire mission and everyone responded; Someone slipped off clutch and the 55 round fell on my ankle and broke it in the commotion. I remember our mess hall being blown up. Please write and share your memories here or otherwise. Does anyone remember how many how many operations we had and confirmed stats? If you made the move from Chu Lai to Da Nang in March '67 write or better yet, call me since I'm not good on email.

Currently I am obtaining my Masters Degree and am writing a paper on Veteran's experiences to further my peer's understanding of what servicemen and women go through. Unfortunately, my grandpa is not around to ask him questions about his Korean War experience and I was wondering if anyone knew him that would be willing to answer a few questions. Comments: Looking to hear from anyone who was in Lima Battery, 4th Battalion, 11th Marines during 1961 to 1963. Anybody remember the battery C.O., who was an Marine air wing officer, named Captain Smith, who lived in BOQ at that time? Also, what area were we billeted at on Camp Pendleton during that period? Was that 16-area? Thanks!

Comments: Served with Arty in FDC and Scout, 66 and 67. Made the move from ChuLai to DaNang. Spent last 2 month as NCOIC of OP Falcon. A war without Artillery is just a vulgar brawl.

Comments: Found 3 L-4-11 Vietnam era guys on this web page.
In Viet Nam, L-4-11 was called Leaping Lima, K-4-11 was called Kilo or Kilo's Killers. There are www.military.com web pages for Leaping Lima 4-11, Kilo 4-11 and 4-11 which I take to be HQ-4-11

Korean Vets are welcome on Lima's page and I would think also on the others.
