Comments: My wife and I, plus other members of our family, attended the B/1/11 "family day" on 28 Oct. We just want to say thanks and congratulations on a terrific piece of work. The entire day of briefings, demonstrations and opportunity to participate in "hands on" training was wonderful. The officers and men did a great job of showing what its like to be Marine. Great work and well done. Semper Fi and Happy 225th Birthday. Thanks again. D.F. Browne, Sr.

JOHN ROWE wrote on 1999-10-31 00:00:00.0

Comments: I am looking for fellow members of this battery which landed in Pusan, Aug 2, 1950 or members who joined later when the outfit became the 1st Mar. Division. I joined up with the battery the week prior to sailing from San Diego in 1950 and left on the 2nd rotation draft back to the US in March 1951. If anyone can identify the others of my battery, I would really like to contact them. Fifty years is a long time but I am sure there must be some still alive. We lost about a third of the battery in the first 7 months out of the about 160? people. I have a lot of "sea stories" to swap (it sure was cold in the Chosin Res. area)
