Father Looking for Old Buddies

Comments: I am looking for any information for my father, Kenneth Pangburn. He was in the Army serving in Japan (during WWII) and transferred to Pusan mid-1950. He is still alive and suffering from severe PTSD and, primarily, memory loss combined with flashbacks. We are trying to get information to help him in any way. Comments: I am looking for anyone who knew my uncle before or during the war. His name is Raymond Pete he is a Navajo and he is still alive and well. He damaged an eardrum during the war. He says he was too slow to cover his ears while his group was firing off mortar rounds. I would like to reunite him with someone he knew or even find out which outfit he was in. Part if this inquiry is for my own information but, if anyone would like to get in touch with my uncle I will sure try to help.

anyone knowing of the 521 SIG. Depot war annex near Pusan

Comments: I spent a 13 monthes at the 521 and 520 war annex from Sep. 53 to Nov. of 54. the ware annex was about 20 miles from puson. we ate chow at some Ord. Co. near by. I thank it was the 226 not sure! there was a guy( Charley Adams )that was a gate guard at the Compant, he is near where i live and came to my 50th wedding anniversary. he took basic traning with Tommy Sigler and they keep in contact with each other. Tommy was a PVT. when I arrived at the war annex, he made CPL. about the same time I made PFC. Tommy made SGT. Ashort time after i MADE cpl. he was our ncoic until he rotated a few months before i did

Comments: Anyone knowing my Dad, Jerry Kubitz, a paratrooper, was in combat'52-'55. He didn't talk much about it, but remember a particular story about being pinned in a fox hole for 3 days while under enemy attack. He obtained frost bite at the time.He was a young 16-17 yrs. old, lived in an orphanage in Ohio or New York until lying about his age to enlist in the army. There was a couple of guys he talked about, friends, but can't remember their names. Also, a nurse, who took care of him when he was flown to the hospital for frostbite. Comments: My father, CPL Paul Radford Draughn served as a line medic with B Company 179th Infantry during the War. He was a draftee orginally from Dobson, North Carolina. I served in the US Army for 28 years, 31 months of which I served as the Brigade Command Sergeant Major of 2nd Brigade at Camp Hovey. My father passed away last December. My brothers and I are looking to write a semi-biographical piece about our father. Sadly, we know very little about his days in uniform. The article states that on March 6, 1951 in Yongdon-ni-Usudo, Korea, he exposed himself to open fire to run down an open slope behind enemy lines to obtain needed ammunition for his unit.
