He didn't talk much about it, but remember a particular story about being pinned in a fox hole for 3 days while under enemy attack. He obtained frost bite at the time.He was a young 16-17 yrs. old, lived in an orphanage in Ohio or New York until lying about his age to enlist in the army. There was a couple of guys he talked about, friends, but can't remember their names. Also, a nurse, who took care of him when he was flown to the hospital for frostbite. He talked about how pretty she was. This is vague, maybe someone will remember his name. My fingers are crossed. Thanks so much, Pam, Daughter of Jerry Kubitz.

Comments: Hi - my father in law was a war orphan adopted by Paul Raynor who served with the Army at Seoul City Command from 1950 to 1952. I'm writing a family history about the adoption and would like to speak with anyone who served with Paul in Seoul, particularly those who remember him spending time with a 4-year-old boy who was known as Jimmy. I'm also particualrly interested in contacting SFC Wernar Krenzer, who would have been 27 in 1953 when he accompanied Jimmy home from Korea to the midwest where he was reunited with Paul. Thank you. -Misty

Comments: My father Winston John Desselles enlisted in New Orleans, Louisiana, and served in Korea in 1952-1956. He was a 17 0\or 18 year old farmer when he enlisted. His medical records say he was lost in Korea for about 75 days. My name is Janet Desselles, and I would appreciate any information regarding my dad. He was buried at Fort Bliss National Cemetary in 1988.

Comments: Does anyone know and served with my father (Donald J. Hessman) I'm not sure what unit he was with although I really never knew my father, but only he was shell shocked in the Korean war. I know he had passed away in 1981 or in 1982 and I want to know about my father and who served with him and what it was like.

God Bless

Comments: After leaving Taegu, Korea in December of 1954, I processed out of the Army in the state of Washington, then headed home for Los Angeles to continue my education. I now need to look through the letters that were written to me (stored away and not yet re-read since 1954), in order to find names and events.

Comments: I am looking for information on MacArthur's and Willoughby's intelligence units. I know that MacArthur did not permit the CIA in his office but I also know he ran his own intelligence units. The unit number I have is 2280. Does anyone have any information on this unit from the summer of 1950 to the spring of 1951?
