Comments: I was stationed at Tsuiki with the 51st FIW for 15 months. I remember all the various squardons that came to Tsuiki for regular maintenance and battle damage repair. The checkered tail (25th) stands out in my memory very well. I was a crash rescue fire fighter. There was also a constant flow of C-119 in and out of the base moving everything that was needed to run the war.If anyone is familiar with the Tsuiki Airport layout you might recall seeing a group of tents out by the control tower. That's where we were billoted.
