Comments: My father just passed away. While going through some of his photos and papers, I found out that he was either with the 22nd crash rescue boat or the 15th. I have both on get this: old paycheck stubs. Just interested if anyone would remember him. His name is Richard L Gordon, or Dick as some called him. Any nice funny stories to help with the loss of a great Father would be great.

Comments: I was stationed at the 22nd CRBS compound at Fukuoka and did jaunts on the 63 footers, and 85 footers to and from other locations in Japan as well as to Korea K-Sites. This was in 53-55. Major "Mike" Hammer was the Sq Commander, forgot the 1st Sgts name, Sgt Pendegast and Sgt Redeye were two of the boat skippers I remember. Would like to hear from anyone that was associated with the 22nd.

Comments: Anyone who remembers getting caught in a typhoon between Cho-do and P Y Do in one of the above boats in 1952. Got lost. Were west of PY-do when we thought we were east of the island. Just happened on a liberty ship west of PY-do and they gave us a heading to PY-do via signal light. Whew!!!!!!!

Comments: This is in ref: to message 14595/Arch Smith. I just heard about this site and although the message goes back to 2001, I thought I would respond as I was in the Eglin Boat Squadron in 1949 and I have a picture of one of the Boats Mr. Smith is looking for. Although he was talking about the year 1943 I believe it's the same Boat. Mr. Smith's E-mail address is no longer in use. If he will contact me, I will be happy to send him the picture. Al Augeri

QUESTIONS ON BENEFITS OF US NAVY VETERANS

Column_1_Spacer Column_2_Spacer
Edith Regalado wrote on 2003-09-18 04:08:24.0

Comments: My father, George Babao Requina, was a member of the US Navy starting in November 1954.

I understand he took USS Antares AK258 that travelled to Europe, Asia, Africa, Middle East, South America and the whole of America.

I just would like to know what benefits are due him. He is past 65 now.

I hope somebody could help me with this.

I trully appreciate any response...

Thank you very much,

Edith

I have searched in lots of Korean related places and have never seen

members of R-1-667 who were on the boat when it was assigned to some
intelligence operation running spies up into North Korea.

Any help greatly appreciated!
