Comments: I just viewed the website with a posting requesting information related to my father Zack T. Nicholas posted by Robbie Lucas. I am Zack's daughter, Katherine. Your father gave me a baby pig to sleep with, I believe. My mother often tells the story, so it is fitting that I find this on my birthday. My father is no longer living, but my mother is. I don't know if your father knew Clinton Curtis, but he served at the same time and we are in constant contact with him. Mother would love to speak with your parents if they are still living. Feel free to contact me! Katherine.

Comments: Still looking for Frank Mowser or anyone who remembers him. Also looking or anyone who was in the fire fight at the ammo dump in Suwon. I was in armorment. I am also looking for the house boy who was at k-14 by the name of Chuck Son Su or nickname "Chicken". Alot of good and bad memories but the best one of them all was going to Japan to buy "Chicken" a suit for Christmas. God Bless anyone reading this especially any veteran of the Korean War.

Comments: I'm trying to locate Zachary T. Nicholas. He was stationed with my dad in Amarillo and went to Korea and served in the 80th Fighter Bomber Wing. I believe they were both mechanics. He was the best man for my parents, and my dad is wanting to get in touch with him. After they returned my dad went to Alabama and I believe Zachary went to Georgia. My dad's name is Jack (or Jackie) Dowd. Thank you for any information.

Comments: I am writing a book about the Autumn, 1952 hill battles in the Iron Triangle. My father was a rifle platoon leader in the 31st Infantry Regiment and fought in the battle of Triangle Hill from October 14 to 16, 1952. I am interested in speaking with members of the 80th FB Squadron who recall flying on missions to this area and during the October/November 1952 timeframe. Maj. Charles Loring of the Squadron was killed in action in late November, 1952 during a bombing mission and was later awarded the Medal of Honor. I have interviewed over 100 veterans of the battle to date and have been working on this book for over 4 years. I have a publisher lined up and hope to get the book finished this year. I want to make sure that I do a good job integrating in to the story accounts of the air strikes on these hills and close air support of the infantry in these battles and would appreciate hearing from you. Thanks very much and God Bless. Kevin Quinn

I was in 80th Fighter Bomber Squadron (Headhunters) June 1950
to Feb. 1952. Would enjoy hearing from anyone.
Just a little about Headhunters. We were at Itazuke Air Base, Fukuoka,
Japan, when the war started. We flew missions out of there for a
short time before going to Korea-K-l4 or Kimpo Air Base.
Our Commanding Officer was one of the very first airmen killed in
the War. He was Major Amos L. Sluder.
I understand there is a Memorial Section in The Air Force Museum at
Dayton,Ohio, honoring Major Sluder and the 80th Ftr Bmr Sq.
In your page of Air Force Units, under heading of 80th Ftr Bmr Sq,
you will find JayBirdOne, or Colonel Reidel. He is the head of the
Headhunters and can give you the entire history.
We have a Headhunters Orginization which is really something.

I am very happy to have found this. I am searching for information on a
newspaper article that I heard about in regard to the whereabouts of
some family members of the pow/mia's My brother was a Lt. in the Air
Force (pilot) and he was killed on May 8th, 1952.
From KWP: Lt. Robert George Coffee was on a mission with napalm
bomb attached. In a telco with Mrs. Benderman she indicated that a pilot
Sid Yahn saw the plane take a hit and explode.
Any information by former unit mates will be most appreciated. Lt.
Coffee hailed from Taft, California.

As far as I can determine Michael J. Adams was a member of 52G class and
was also a member of the 80th FBS where he flew 49 combat missions in
Korea.
He was later killed during the X-15 test flight program on November 15,
1967. He was one of the early astronauts because he had flown to an
altitude of more than 50 miles above the earth's surface( an Air Force
