Comments: My dad was a nurse in the 801st in Korea. He is disabled and fighting for a pension, however he has no record or any physical proof he was ever in the Air Force. His records burned up and he could use any help he can get.

Comments: I would enjoy talking about the 801st, especially the activities that earned the Distinguished Unit Citation in 1950. I was a medical technician and later worked in administration.

Comments: I'm currently assigned to the 18th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at Kadena Air Base, Japan. We trace our lineage back to the 801st and I'm loooking for an opportunity to connect my young flyers to their roots. I'm looking for a picture or drawing of the original 801st emblem or patches. Appreciate any help.

Missing Friend

Comments: Dear 801st MAES, Please help me find an old USAF buddy - 1/Lt Richard Hudson. He was a graduate of Pilot Training Class 52-D. That was in June, 1952. The last time I saw him was in Korea in 1953 flying C-47 medical evacuation missions out of Seoul airport to evacuation stations near the front lines. I don't know if the 801st was his unit or not. But he invited me to be his co-pilot on one night mission. Since I was an F-86 jock out of Kimpo, I thought he was nuts - I'd never seen the inside of a C-47. I was sure he was nuts when he made a blacked out landing on a strip of SPS seemingly no bigger than a tennis court. Dick was a cool head, so I figured it was guts not nuts. He was originally from Philadelphia, PA, and was probably discharged in the early summer of 1955. You could also help by locating an association or organization of the guys of the Class of 52-D. My address is above. Thanks, Norm Green (52-E)

Comments: I remember my father had a book that had Donald Duck and Huey, Dewey, and Louie on it all bandaged up riding something. It had to do with a orphan airlift. I'm trying to find information related to my father's time in Korea.
