Comments: My father served in the Air Force in the late 40's through the 50's and spent time in the Philippines and Korea. I have photos of from this time available here:

http://flickr.com/photos/zizzy/sets/72157607234894379/

Unfortunately I am not able to provide many details regarding the time, place, and subjects of the photos (except where my father is plainly visible).

Take a look, enjoy, and if you recognize anything or can provide any details, it would be greatly appreciated.

Comments: I'm looking for information on the accident that killed my brother in law, 1st Lt. M.K. Smotherman, in Korea in May of 1952. I believe he was one of a flight of four F-86's that hit a mountain returning from a mission. I'm not sure of circumstances but he was killed when he was apparently making an approach for landing. I"m sure he was not leading the flight but I would like to know anything that anyone might know about it. I would like to be able to obtain a copy of the accident report but don't know how to find one. I was only 15 when it happened and our family never got any of the details. I'd like to hear from anyone with any knowledge of the accident. Thanks, Richard W. Baker

Comments: I am searching for anyone who served with my father Joseph "Joe" W. Huseman. He was from Ohio and have found several pictures of him with Air Force buddies in pictures some are posing in front of the "Fightin' 69th" student squadron 3769 sign. He left the service in sep. 06, 1952. The document that I have says he was at Camp Kilmer New Jersey when he left the service. He was in the Korean War, served in Germany. Thanks Mary Jo

Comments: I was privilidged to have flown with RWarren in the 69FBS. He was Roger Warren of Cadet Class 52-B. He was a real stand up POW and endured 8 months of solitary confinment at the hands of the Chicoms and was one of the last prisoners to be returned. He became a pilot and engineer for North American and headed a loving and wonderful family but never regained his good health and passed away in January 1999. He was a real American Hero in every sense of the word. Am joining your group and sending my dues by mail today. Hal,thank you for your great efforts in this labor of love that you have undertaken on behalf of your Dad. That would make any father proud. Ray Kelly

Need help locating father, he was a Korean War Vet

Jonathan Fields wrote on 2000-05-08 20:13:00.0

Comments: Hello, I'm writing to ask if anyone can help me locate my father. I'm 33 yrs. old and I have never met my father. The only info I have on him is a United States Armed Forces Institue of Japan certification from Dec. 27th of 1956, with a letter to his Commander of the 69th Ftr Bomb Sqdn, APO 970. The letter states that he completed the Intermediate Radio course. The letter is dated Jan. 14th 1957, and it is signed by Lt.Col. Milton L. Acuff. I know this document is after the war, but I know he is a Korean War Vet. Well, if anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Our family has never heard from him. I would like to have contact with him, for my own closure. The info I have on him is what I have listed above, and this: His name is: Samuel Fields, he's from Hico,WV. I know he was stationed in Denver at one time, also Rapid City. His Military ID #13350869, he worked with radar or electronics. According to the document I have he was a S/Sgt in 1957. Thanks to anyone who can give me any information. God Bless

On my 71st combat mission, I was hit and downed by an anti-aircraft
