I know his last duty station (I was 12) was at Dover, flying C-141s for MAC. I just got his dd-214 and decorations from the US Veterans Affairs office and I am building a shadow box to memmorialize his service. I HAVE HOME MOVIES OF 67TH RECONNAISSANCE TECHNICAL SQUADRON KOREA 1953 |
| KRIS SEVERINSEN wrote on February 4, 2006 CITY AND STATE: METAMORA IL UNIT: 67TH RECONNAISSANCE TECHNICAL SQUADRON SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: My father Lt. Severinsen served in 1953 at Kimpo Air Force Base. He brought home 1 hour of 8mm movies(no sound). I recently converted this film into a DVD/documentary. Since my father was an Iowa farm boy many of the scenes are about the local farmers. However there are many shots of USAF aircraft and a unique trip to the HMS Sydney Aircraft carrier stationed in the Yellow sea. The aircraft shots are very interesting. Also included are several still shots of life on the base. All set to music from 1953. I will go out on a limb here and offer a copy free to anyone who is interested(within my limitations).
