Comments: As a Viet Nam vet, and one who is interested in history, I have been looking for information on General Mathew B. Ridgeway, who took over the ground forces after Gen. Walker was killed in an auto accident. I can only find references to him.
More specifically, was General Ridgeway the one who visited a German cemetary with President Reagan in the 1984-86 timeframe? I remember the comment that he was the last survivor of the great WWII field generals.

Keywords: Looking for members of my Dad's squadron in Tague, June 1950 to August 1953. Under the command of General Douglas MacArthur, General Mathew Ridgeway and General Wainwright. He was part of the 13th Aircraft Repair Squadron Alert Group. He would like to touch base with anyone that was stationed with him at that time.

STATIONED AT K-2 IN TAEGUE. 50 MAN OUTFIT TO RECOVER ANYTHING FROM CRASHED AIRCRAFT. LEFT SASEBO FIRST PART OF JULY 1950. SERVED IN KOREA 8 MONTHS.
