INF. ON GENERAL MATHEW B. RIDGEWAY |
| OTIS BLEDSOE wrote on June 15, 2003 City and State: LAWRENCEVILLE GA Unit: Service or Relationship: INTERESTED PERSON Comments: As a Viet Nam vet, and one who is interested in history, I have been looking for information on General Mathew B. Ridgeway, who took over the ground forces after Gen. Walker was killed in an auto accident. I can only find references to him. More specifically, was General Ridgeway the one who visited a German cemetary with President Reagan in the 1984-86 timeframe? I remember the comment that he was the last survivor of the great WWII field generals. Keywords: |
