Comments: Gentlemen, This October the 314 AW at Little Rock AFB is having a Trash Haulers Ball. We would very much like to have one of our Korean War veterans come and be our guest of honor and perhaps say a few words regarding thier experiences during the war. We have been trying to get in Touch with Lt Col William "Bones" Blanton. Is anyone still in contact with him? Also if you are interested in attending our event please let us know. As I am currently deployed, please contact the event coordinator Major Gaulin at Eric.Gaulin@littlerock.af.mil Ok, look forward to hearing from you! Chris

Comments: I am the son of Cleo Cox Call, who served with the "Green Hornets" as a C-119 pilot and Maintenance Officer.

My father recently passed away, and I am in the process of preparing a memorial for him. I would like to correspond with any who remember him.

In addition, I have a collection of photographs from that period, including those of some of the aircraft he flew, the quarters at Ashiya, and some of the persons with whom he worked.

I know that his experience during the Korean conflict was one of the best-remembered of his life, and I look forward to hearing from those with whom he shared it.

Thanks,

Jay Call

Comments: I am an engineer at Boeing, Vietnam-era USAF veteran, life member of the Air Force Association, and a freelance aviation writer.

I am completing a manuscript on the for a 300-page book on the C-82/C-119. I am looking for more details on the Treadway bridge drop at the Chosin Reservoir. Some details may be added to the text, but more importantly are the plans for a painting for a wrap-around dust jacket depicting the drop. Can anyone supply the following:

Aircraft serial numbers (nose numbers) that made the drop. Drop sequence. Direction of flight. Aircraft spacing. Weather (clear/snow). Any photos from that day showng drop zone. The better the data, the beter the painting.

FYI, I was a technical advisor for Boeing's 50th anniversary programs for the B-17, B-29, and USAF 50th. Each program had several paintings done using data I gathered and later oversaw the artists to assure technical accuracy.

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Comments: I am the son (youngest of 4) of Darrel Dunn, who served in the 61st Trp Carrier Sq, 314th Trp Carrier Group. I have his orders dated 20 March 1954 in which he was sent to Vance AFB. He was previously stationed at Ashiya AFB in Japan, I believe with the 483rd. At any rate he spent most of his time with the "Green Hornets". He was the Crew Chief of a C-119, 552. I have many pictures also, both of C-119's and people.

Among the names of pictures of people are: Clester, Clayes, Pabst, Ben Sobotka, Anthony Brucato, Ken Jackson, Boyd, Turner, Kreisler, and Benedict Maina. Any information would be appreciated. He's still with us and lives next door to me. His internet screenname is ThreeD32. Anyone that recognizes any of the above information may contact me at GRANDDM1@aol. com or him at ThreeD32@aol.com. Thanks!

If possible I would like some information on him when he served with the 61st. I was not given the Squadron he flew with. I would also like to know where I can find the markings of the aircraft he flew on. I was told he flew in C-47s during the Berlin Airlift. I did not get a lot of information from his son, did not want to give the surprise away. Any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated!
