Comments: I was stationed at Osan Air Base, Korea from August '68 until September '69. I was assigned to both Security and Law Enforcement sections during my 13 month tour. Comments: IN 1965 WHEN I WAS STATIONED WITH THE AIR POLICE SECURITY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT, SOME OF MY SECURITY GUARD BUDDIES TOLD ME ABOUT A SPECIFIC AIR PLANE HANGER THAT WAS ALWAYS LEFT EMPTY. MY BUDDIES EXPLAINED THAT THE HANGER WAS LEFT EMPTY IN HONOR OF THE 180 AIRPOLICE/SECURITY GUARDS WHERE LEFT BEHIND WHEN THE CHINESE RE-TOOK OSAN FOR THE SECOND TIME. THEY WERE ORDERED TO DESTROY EVERY BUILDING,INCLUDING HANGARS,LIVING QUARTERS AND THE FLIGHT LINE WERE TO BE BLOWN UP. THE CHINESE GOT TO THE BASE EARLIER THAN PLANNED AND CAPTURED ALL THE AIR POLICE.THEY ALL WERE THEN HUNG FROM THE RAFTERS AND LEFT.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANY VALIDITY TO THIS STORY.I MUST BE A GULLIBLE PERSON,BUT TO THIS DAY I HAVE HEARD THE SAME STORY.& PRAYED THAT IT IS B.S.
