Comments: I am trying to resolve some conflicting information on Marilyn Monroe's trip to Korea. One source describes Marilyn as having lunch (while in Korea) at the "47th Air Force Tactical Control Group" while another source describes it as "6147th Tactical Control Group Headquarters." I am wondering if these are two different things, or if they are the same and the "61" just got left off of the beginning of "6147th" in my first source. This would have been, I believe, at K-16. Oh -- it was in February 1954.
Any help in understanding the nomenclature and figuring-out if those are separate units would be most appreciated. Any other information regarding Marilyn's visit is welcome as well, of course.
Thanks!
