LOOKING FOR FRIENDS |
| LARRY LUNTZ wrote on September 29, 2004 City and State: LAKE ISABELLA CA Unit: 58TH FTR BMR. GP. Service or Relationship: AIR FORCE VETERAN - KOREA Comments: George Wakefield was a parachute rigger on the flight line. I was in supply, also on the flight line. I helped rig, chutes on ocassion. I didn't like signing that little book that went with the chute. I did recieve a couple of bottles of segrams 7 from the pilots. We were located on the hill in those quanset huts, those oil heaters would blow up ever so often, what mess. All you couls see was eyeballs and teeth. God it was cold. I finally got some pocket warmers when I went to Japan, made standing guard on the flight line a little more bearable. I think George was from Michigan. Keywords: I would like to find George Wakefield from K-55 1955. |
