Comments: I see this is about 10 years too late, but I just came across this site and thought maybe you might still be interested in more info... I was stationed at Naha Okinawa when the Korean war started and our F-82's were shipped to Tachikawa Japan. The mechanics (me)followed a few days later. I know that I was assigned to the 4th F(AW)S. but I can't remember much else. I do know that it was our sq. that flew the first mission across the 38th and shot down the first 'mig'.. My 'plane' was WEE PEE II. I believe it was # 389 on the tail.. enclosed is a picture that I took flying in formation 'training' over Okinawa. I use to fly every chance I could as the RO. I loved it... no picture is sent now, but if anyone wanted to see it, just email me.. thanks

Comments: Did anyone know my uncle, Barry Ross (or could have used the surname Kennedy-Ross). He was brought up in South Africa but I understand flew with the Canadians. He was shot down behind enemy lines but made it back to camp. I remember my mother having an article printed in the local Cape Town newspaper about this. Sadly he passed away some years ago but was a lovely man and a well-respected teacher. I would be very interested to learn about his time in Korea.
