Comments: Hi- looking for anyone who might remember my father- Captain Norman Kelly USAF. We were stationed at Chaumont from late 1957-Jan 1960. Dad mostly flew the base C-47 and T-33's as he was with the 48th Field Maintenance squadron but occasionally he bagged flights with the 494th in their huns. We lived at both Pershing and Lafeyette Villages and some of my parents friends included- The Whisners, Goetz's, Findley's, and Smith's. Anybody remember us?

Looking for anyone who served in the 48th Fighter Bomber Wing Food Service Squadron who knew Charley

Comments: I really need to hear from someone . My Dad has recently expired and I need information about his service in this unit and information regarding the Court Martial he received in the mid 1950's.

My father was very troubled throughout his life. He always said he was innocent of the crime he was acused of. In the process he became a recluse and died alone. I would like to clear his name if possible, finding out the truth about what happened, and allow his soul to rest and, we all to have peace of mind. This means a lot to my family.

I would appreciate any information/contact that you could give me to help me with this.

Comments: I was at Chaumont AFB from July 1952 thru Jan 1954. I was Assistant Crew Chief on an F84 in the 494th Squadron. The wing went tdy to Munich Germany in July or August 1952 while the runway was repaved. This was a National Guard outfit from Alexander LA. I would like to hear from anyone who was there.

LT. BOYD 'PAPPY' GWIN

Comments: I'm looking for information on my father, 1st Lt. Boyd "Pappy" Gwin, a pilot, whose plane was shot down while on a bombing mission in North Korea on January 6, 1953. He was MIA status for awhile.

My mother, his wife, Katherine "Kay" Gwin is no longer alive but my brother, sister and I wish to hear of any details pertaining to his time in Korea---or training before hand. I would especially like to hear exactly where his plane went down in Korea.

He was part of the Nebraska Air National Guard which was activated in 1951 or 1952.
