Comments: Happy New Year to every one. I was stationed at Chaumont from Sept 1957-Aug 1959, with the US Air Force. Some good years. I was sent to Bitburg, Germany in 1959. The cold war was an exciting time to be in Europe.

Comments: I'm looking for information on my father, 1st Lt. Boyd "Pappy" Gwin, a pilot, whose plane was shot down while on a bombing mission in North Korea on January 6, 1953. He was MIA status for awhile.
My mother, his wife, Katherine "Kay" Gwin is no longer alive but my brother, sister and I wish to hear of any details pertaining to his time in Korea---or training before hand. I would especially like to hear exactly where his plane went down in Korea.
He was part of the Nebraska Air National Guard which was activated in 1951 or 1952.
