Comments: Tom was a pilot of a B-26 at the time that my father was lost. I did have an email from his granddaughter several years ago and would like to make contact again. Please let me know if you have any information I can use to contact her or other family members.

Comments: I have found a lot of information through this organization and can't say enough about everybody. One of the final things to find is a photo of my fathers plane. A B-26 named "Vivian Girl". If you have ANY photos of the base or a/c please let me know. I'll pay for any copying and postage. I can get the tail number if you only have photos of planes and can't identify the nose art.

Comments: I am trying to find the approximate location of the crash of my fathers B-26. This is the only I have available.

According to the report.

Case No. 463, Location of the crash is: BU 7845 6431-I. Geographic coordinates is: BU 7845 (BTB) Nearest town: is blank. The map sheet: 6431 I, Korea 1:50,000. I hope that this helps.

I'm also still looking for any photographs of his B-26 aircraft, which was named "Vivian Girl". The tail number 44-34337.

These are the last two items, short of locating the crash and repratriation of all crew members, that I need to put this to rest. I can't thank all of you enough for the information and support that my family and I have received from this group.

God bless all of you and those who have, are and will give service to this country and its proud tradition of doing what it takes to attain lasting freedom for all.

Ryc Lyden

Comments: Our Dad passed away July 1, 2004. He retired as a Lt.Col USAF. My brothers and I am interested in his missions over Korea as a navigator/bombardier, flying B-26B's and later D models. He served with Flight D, 729th Bomb Squadron, 452nd Wing, from the earliest stages of the allied air campaign in Korea. Starting at George AFB in Victorville CA they then went to war. We are very proud of all those who served in the so called forgotten war. 'Fly Til You Die' is a book that my brother obtained, written by a squadron commander, Wally McDannel. My dad had it marked at pg. 93 the night he suddenly died at 83 years old. It is an excellent reading book. We also have some photos of B-26's that Dad took from the air when he was over there in Korea plus regular shots of him and the guys...like the time they went to Japan on R&R. He also flew with the Turk pilot Erdonmez for a few missions. I wonder if there is anybody out there, besides us,who is interested in this. My email is kremancafe@juno.com.

Sincerely, Ken Tinkcom Wyoming

Comments: You are cordially invited to access our Korean War Era Veterans Free and Private Websites.

To do so you need to send us your name, snail mail address and advise your unit and time you were in Korea.

Families of Korean War Era Veterans either living or deceased are, also, invited.

The 452nd Bombardment Wing, I believe had some military relations with the 437th TC Wg or the 315th FEAF during the Korean War.

We are also having a FINAl Korean War Era Veterans REUNION 2002 in Sumter, SC the weekend of Sept. 13th, 14th & 15th, 2002. If interested, ask for access to the reunion website as well.

All branches of service and all units are welcome to participate in both our websites and the reunion ... regardless where stationed.

Comments: Flew 66 missions with the 452nd in the original group to go over in the beginning,as a Bombardier-Navigator.53 of my missions were lead or deputy lead and all four of my assigned crews were shot down without me aboard for verious opportune reasons. I went home in May 1951 just as they were starting night interdiction missions. The 729th Squadron of B-26's sustained by far the heaviest casualtys and we were a very "gung ho" outfit.I miss all the good friends made in Korea.
