Keywords: I served from Aug 52 to Mar 54, Kadena AFB, I was the Personnel Clerk in the Orderly Room. I would like to contact any Veteran that served there during that period. I content that the AF sprayed herbicides on the grasses and shrubs along the edges of the runways and the aprons. I have prostate cancer and think the herbicides may have caused. Can anyone back up my claim? Thanks

Comments: I served with the 430th in 52-53 it was redesignated the 19th AP Swdn I believe in 53. a Maj Webb was the commander and at the entrance to the Sqdn area was a sign that read"Far Easts Finest". We use to refer to the unit as Webbs West Point, Some of the peopls I re mber were Pinkus, Hall, Lincoln, Kidder, Capt Boley, Capt Green, Tom Shuh. I also was with the 93d Bomb Sqd,While I was assigned to the 430th they formed a Sentry Dog unit. Pinkus was one of the dog handlers.I did have contact with some of the personnel but that was lost decades ago.

Comments: ARRIVED IN KADENA IN MAY OF 1952- IT WAS THE 430TH AIR POLICE AT THAT TIME BUT CHANGED TO THE 818TH AIR POLICE IN LATE 52 OR EARLY 53. DON'T KNOW CURRY OR WATKINS. WHEN I LEFT KADENA I WENT TO LINCOLN A.F.B. & THAT WAS THE 818TH ALSO.

Comments: I would like to hear from anyone from 430th Air Police Squadron stationed at Kadena between 1950 and 1954.I have found several from 19th BG and some from 307th BG but only a couple from 430th A P. I know we are getting old but there must be a few diehards left. Anyone know what happened to Sgts Curry and or Watkins ?
