Comments: Just found this web site. Anyone served in ak at the same time i did? Was also at Adak for 6 weeks in 1951.Was sent to Naknek in Nov. of that year. We were the first ones to move into the new living quarters. Spent a few days in old WWII quanset huts. Very primitive.

Yes I was assigned to that Dam Bunker in the Hottest summer days and the Coldest winter days.. I have been trying to remmber some of my friends but God that was 54 yrs. ago.. Guess I am getting old..
