Comments: Just wanted to update the information that I posted in my search for anyone who knew my dad, (see way down below), thought maybe it would help narrow it down. I FINALLY got his military records and replacement medals. Anyhow, he was in the 307th, 371st Squadron. He flew on aircraft #44-61816, (Sit-N-Git). He was at Kadena from 1 Nov. 1952 until 20 July 1953. He had 15-25 missions and was a flex gunner. Information that I also have is that he enlisted on 8 June 1951, went to Basic at possibly Wichita Falls, TX, (completed it in August of 1951) Aug. 1951 to Jan. 1952 attended Turret Systems Course at Lowry AFB in CO. Jan. 1952 to Feb. 1952 attended Flex Gunner's Course at Lowery AFB. There is nothing in his records that indicates where he was at from Feb. 1952 until Oct. 1952, when he went to Kadena. He was promoted to S/Sgt. in April of 1953. Please contact me at the above e-mail address as it is my current one.

Comments: I have a picture of my dad with a class at Chanute Air Base along with 21 other airmen standing in front of aircraft. I don't know what year, but think it may have been 7 nov 1951. My dad is deceased as of 2 years ago. He was 78. His name was Tch Sgt Clifford E. Pendarvis and he was an air plane mechanic. Airmen listed on orders were; Glen E. Rogers; Wilis R. Craig; Arthur Himmerick; James A. Williamson; William C. Roberts; Ronald T. Davis; James J. Wilder; Allen L. Mourning; Claude Vann Jr; Carlyle H. Brandt; Thomas E. Wofle; Ellis J. Marshall. Don't know if these are the men in the picture with my dad. I am trying to learn all that I can about my dad. I am a girl and was never interested when I was young about all this, but now it's all I care about. If you knew my dad, please respond.

Comments: As a modeler, I am interested in modeling the B-29 # 44-87760, piloted by Capt. James R. Lewis, which participated in the Black Thursday over NAmsi, in October 23, 1951.
I would like to receive any information on the colors, markings and nose art of Capt Lewis´s plane, and any photo.
Anything is welcome!
