Comments: If anyone has any information or photographs about David Sawyers Milligan or Son, Jack Milligan (jock) please can you contact me. All i know about David is that he fought in WW1 possibly as an officer. David was also Master Mason of the Glasgow Lodge rigalia displaying number 753.Jack we know was part of the LRDG and fought in Crete. He was in 33 Sqdn RAF and was awarded the Africa Star with bar plus several other decorations. A book by Charles Graves called The Thin Blue line was written about him and 7 of his friends. David Sawyers owned a butchers shop in Glasgow, David and Jack both lived in Glasgow but we're not sure if they were born there. If any one knows where we can get more information or copies of service records please contact us.

THE 22ND BM. WG. WAS B-29'S.

THREE SQUADRONS WERE INVOLVED. THE 33RD.,THE 19TH., AND THE 2ND. I WAS
WITH THE 2ND. BM. SQ. WE LOADED BOMBS EVERY DAY AND THE GROUP FLEW MANY
MISSIONS INTO KOREA.

I STILL HAVE THE SPECIAL TDY ORDERS. THE DATES WERE 25 JULY 50 TO
24 OCTOBER 50. I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU. I CAN GIVE MORE
INFORMATION.

I HAVE WANTED TO SEE SOMETHING ABOUT THE KOREAN WAR ERA. THE

The 22dn consisted of three squadrons from March Field, California ( not
Barksdale as previously reported). I was in the 33rd bomb sq. The 2nd
and 19th were the other two squadrons of B29s in the wing. We were TDY
to Kadena and were there only a few months as we lived in tents and I
guess they wanted to get us our of the area before the typhoon season
got into high gear.
