Comments: Looking for these men who flew with my father, who was a Radio operator and flew in Okinawa from May 53-July 53. He Trained with William Carney's crew at Randolph, then again at Forbes, but think he flew with Powers Crew, and Howard's crew for a mission each, then with Lt Col Gene Oholendt for the other missions...any help would be appreciated!!

Comments: I was a S/Sgt stationed on Kadena from Jan 1952 through December 1952. For the majority of that time I was NCOIC of the ECM Flight line and Maintenance shop.
It was great to find this web site and would be interested in communicating with any other veterans of this era.

He was a gunner on a B-29 that flew missions out of Kadena. He served with the 307th and the name of the bomber was the "Sit-N-Get". He flew 27 missions while in Korea. My father died 9 years ago and I am very interested in contacting anyone who may have served with him. He retired in 1966 as a Tech. Sgt. Thank You.

Hi,
I served with the 307th BW from Oct 52- June 53, had 50 missions. I was
an ECM operator. One of my buddies T/Sgt Berger L. Johnson was shot
down either Dec. 52 or Jan 53. I forget which now. He was released in
the last bunch from N. Korea. Never have been able to locate him.
I believe he was from Rochester, NY. Also Capt. Ward, OIC; Lt. Newton,
Lt. Jack Chandler, Buck Sgt Jim Fish, etc There were only 13 of us in
the ECM section. Great to see some info on the web.
Others: Jim Higgins & C.C. Olund.

I was a tail gunner on a B-29. We flew 27 missions to N. Korea
from our base at Kadena on Okinawa. Last 3 digits of our aircraft
were "977" We didn't have any nose art. I'd be interested in
establishing contact with any other B-29 Korean War vets.
