We were their when President Elect Eisinhower made his visit EUSAK Hdq was located across the road, under command of Gen James Van Fleet. Anyone who served in this area at this time frame , please contact me and swap some stories. I wisited most all relay sites in South Korea on daily basis repairing Radio Teletype all the way to Panmunjon,where the peace talks took place close to the 38th pairaell and the freedom gate bridge. These were scary times but we were 18 and 19 year old kids and had no fears, and now looking back on the number of times we were ambushed and shot at on a routine basis I can't believe me and my buddies and our old weapeans carrier came thru the wholLe tour susscathed i guess its like they say,,THE POLITATIONS MAKE THE WARS AND THE KIDS FIGHT THEM Keywords:
