DAN CAIN wrote on April 12, 2005 City and State: CHANNELVIEW TX Unit: Service or Relationship: INTERESTED PERSON Comments: Was in El Paso, Texas last year and came across this album and two, seperate 8x10 photos of its owner - Eldon R. Mathis. I believe he finished up in the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel. The album and photos indicate he was a pilot and 1st Lieutenant. Along with the album, I have his 'aviator sunglasses' in their case and his 'CPU 26A/P Computer Air Navagation' in its case. A second album from World War II, along with various flight certificates indicate he was a pilot in the 2535rd AAF Base Unit at Cuero, Texas, where he received his training. Some of the individual photos in the album are signed and have personal notes - "I'll be your wingman over Tokio", is one. I'd like to see these go to the right people. Thank you, Dan Cain Keywords:
