1737TH FERRY SQUADRON |
| TERRY TUBBS wrote on May 25, 2000 City and State: HANCEVILLE AL Unit: 6214 SECURITY POLICE SQ Service or Relationship: INTERESTED PERSON Comments: For weeks I have been reading about koreanwar.org and other suggested readings. I got some information on the 1737th Ferry Squadron from the historical reference department at Maxwell Air Force Base Alabama. Basically the 1737th Ferry Squadron was a delivery service with Headquarters at Kelly Air Force Base Texas, Military Air Transport Service. The detachments one through three were delivery ariel embarkment detachments for overseas delivery of aircraft. The three detachments were in California, Montana, and Massachusetts. The article I read gave discriptions of other Ferry Squadron Detachments in the United States. If anyone is interested in copies of the documents, that I got from Maxwell Air Force Base, contact me, Terry Tubbs at 80 Howard Circle, Hanceville, Alabama 35077 or call at 256-287-2818. Do not email I do not have email service at home. This was dispatched from the public library in Cullman, Alabama. I am disable and it has been a pleasure a getting to know more about the Korean War. Thanks for reading this. Terry Tubbs, Air Force Vetran, that was stationed in Taiwan and Thailand during the last year of the Vietnam War from l974 through l975. Keywords: |
