Comments: I would like to find anyone who served with the 6922nd radio squadron mobile--stationed in Ashiya, Japan around 1955 to 58 with my Dad. I was born in Ashiya, Nov.15th 1956 on the AFB. Dad also played basketball with the Ashiya Mustangs. My fathers name is Harold Dean Peters/ Dad lives in Meridian, MS now. Also my parents had close friends with the last name Martinez///Dee Martinez was the wife(I believe she was from Flint,Mich) and Teddy was their little boy.
Martinez was in the Head Quarters Squad/Ashiya, Japan
You can view some of the slides took in Japan during that time on my facebook site. I will have many more to upload later.

Anyone remember Bill Rainey? |

 |
Natalie Thompson wrote on 2009-07-02 16:06:41.0
Comments: Bill Rainey is my dad. I've grown up hearing tons of wonderful stories of his time in the Air Force Security Service. Some names I almost feel as if I know the people myself, having heard of them my entire life. If any of you remember him, and would like to get in touch, please contact me and I will pass it on to Daddy. Thank you for your service, and God bless you and yours.

Robert Wachtl wrote on 2004-01-03 18:42:40.0
Comments: Looking for anyone who might remember an Air Force family stationed in Ashiya, Japan in the late 1950's who adopted a Japanese/American girl named Judy Maruyama. The Airman who adopted Judy was assigned to the 15th Radio Squadron, HQ Detachment. Judy is the neice of my wife, whose sister Toshiko gave up for adoption to her friends at AAFB after Judy's American father (who was a pilot)was killed in a training accident. They left Japan around 1958/59 and were reassigned to an airbase in Illinois. For several years after that, the families corresponded back and forth and Judy's new family sent many pictures of Judy back to her natural mother, until her untimely death at the age of 33 due to encephalitus. My wife would very much like to find Judy as she too, is now in the USA. If anyone remembers, or has any information, our email is: rwwachtl@adelphia.net.
Thank you . ..
