The 116 Air Control Squadron (CRE) is alive and well in the Oregon Air Guard. The Origional 116 Air Control and Warning Squadron was from Georgia and after Korea was deactivation in 1952 was returned to the National Guard Bureau control. The Oregon Guard picked up the Air Control mission as the 116 TCS at Portland, Oregon in May of 1971. Since reoganization and manning the 116 acs has been permanently stationed at Camp Rilea AFTC, Warrenton, Oregon. SMSgt Ralph Lehman 116 ACS, Radar Supt. Keywords: 116 TCS/ Georgia Air Guard |
