| REBECCA NORMAN wrote on May 9, 2012 City and State: Unit: Service or Relationship: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: Hi, I'm trying to find any information about my grandfather William (Bill) Mulqueen, he served in Korea and was at Imjin as a part of the Glosters and thats pretty much all I know. He either had a liverpudlian / irish accent (not entirely sure as I'm more or less his only surviving relative and I never met him) and he died in 1963. Any information, photos, articles or literally anything which could possibly have a connection to him would be much appreciated! | RICHARD NEWELL wrote on October 17, 2008 City and State: PRESTON Q Unit: Service or Relationship: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: Royal Marine Roland (called Ron sometimes) Newell served in Korea at Wonsan (I can recall him mentioning Wonsan Bay or Islands). He "volunteered" whilst stationed at Lympestone, and went via troopship and RNZN Frigates (the latter from Sri Lanka where they "missed" the troopship's departure by minuted apparently). Dad died in 1967 and I am now reasearching the family history including his war service as he was the only member of that generation in his family actually allowed to sign up-proscribed occupations. Does anyone out there have any info on the actions of his unit, or where I can find detailed info. Whilst the USMC went to great lengths to ensure his unit was included with the USMC Division when it was awarded a Presidential Citation, I cannot find anything else.
