Comments: Hello!

I am looking for someone who is well inform of the actions of the US 7th division on Hill 355 , also cald: Little Gibraltar, between nov' 21 till nov' 26th 1951.

Most preferably, i would be so pleased to communicate with a US veteran present on that battle field and have the US point of view. I am doing an extansive research and it was HELL ON HEARTH...

My father, now past away, was a pionneer with the Royal 22nd Regiment, ( Vandoo) His battalion was on the left of the Us Army. In the valley, beneath the 355.

Salutations from Canada,

Claire

Comments: My uncle is Conrad Guimond. He fought in the Korean war and was a Parachute commando unit for the ROyal 22nd Regiment. DOes that make sense? I'm trying to find out the appropriate wording. It's been pretty tough. He's very sick right now. Do you remember him at all? I enjoy reading your entries. You guys should continue to communicate and talk about these past memories. I think younger students should read this and realize what you guys did for us. Thank you!

Comments: Our unit left Pettewawa, Ontario in approx. Nov. From here we went to Seattle Washington, we boarded the CC Balou and headed to Toykyo. We went to Kuri Japan for more training, from hereboarded two English trowlers and sailed to the shore of Korea, where we got off. We boarded a train and went up to Nagou, near hill 159.

I was in Korea for 1952 and 53. I was 22. I was with the 3rd Batallion, Royal Canadian Regiment. My infantry number is SV10758. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who served in Korea. I am currently living in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada.
