Marine Aircraft Group 33
I am trying to get any information about missing US Marine flyers that
may have been taken to Siberria. My father was shot down July 15, 1952
0315.
He is Master Sgt. Robert L Kappelmann #836776 and flew with Marine
All Weather Sqd 513: Marine Aircraft Group 33: 1st Marine Aircrft
Wing FMF.
I have gone through most normal channels and even attended the MIA
hearing on the day set aside for Korean MIAs/POWs. Aside from learning
there was likely several boxcars of USA flyers sent to Siberria, I learn
little else.
If you can provide any information or suggest groups that might
be helpful I would appreciated it.
My Email address maybe changing to: kapprl@jea.ci.jax.fl.us
Sincerely Bob Kappelmann
