Comments: I am looking to speak or correspond with anyone having knowledge of my uncle Cpl. Charles A. White. He is believed to have died a POW at Camp 1 as a result of malnutrition and dysentery. His remains may still be in North Korea or a part of the remains that are in the Punch Bowl.

Also looking for anyone who may know a Gerald Siebert from Wisconsin. Mr. Siebert was a POW at Camp 1 and is believed to have assisted in the burial of my uncle

Comments: My uncle Cpl. Charles A. White was in G Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Inf. Division. He is believed to have died from malnutrition and severe dysentery while POW at Camp #1. His remains may still be at Camp #1 or possibly in the Punch Bowl.
I am interested in speaking or corresponding with any veteran who may have known my uncle or perhaps a family member who may have heard the name. Of the 2 EX-POW's mentioned above, Franklin Richenson is deceased. Anyone with knowledge of Mr. Sieberts whereabouts I would like to speak to as well.

Comments: hi i am looking for information of my grandfather for anyone who may have been with him when he was captured. i know he did escape. his name was james richard gill. his nicknames were jaime, jim, or jimmy. i know that he was near pusan during part of his time in korea. all he would share is that he escaped into a rice paddy. he served in the army, i remember one story he shared of him driving in the winter and his hands freezing to the steering wheel of the truck he was driving. my grandfather passed away last year. so any information would be greatly appreciated.

My mother also remembers when my grandmother got the telegram for the miltary when he died. She said something about Iwo Jima, this may have been where he died. Comments: I am looking for any information or stories that any one can give me on my grandfather, Red Eagle McIntosh. I knew that my grandfather served in the Korean War but he never spoke about it and it was before he married my grandmother so she doesn't have too much information either. I love my grandfather like a dad and I have had a hard time dealing with his passing in 2002. I spoke to a few of his friends at the funeral and they had a few stories about him during the war. My family and I had never known about my grandfather being a POW. I have a photo of his group which has Company M 180th INF.REGT. 45th Infantry Div Summer Camp 1955 Northforkhood, TX. Comments: My Dad, Sgt. Joseph A Bourgoin from Maine served in the 23rd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, I company. He was captured in Korea on May 18, 1951 and was POW for 27 months. He was in Camp 1 in Chang-Song. My dad passed away in 1977 when I was only 17 years old. I am trying to find as much information as I can about him. I have some old news clippings about his release and homecoming to Maine. He was released on August 16, 1953 and flew into Logan Airport on Spetember 6, 1953. Some other names in the articles are: Sgt Ralph S. Adams (Auburn, Maine), Private Robert Brown (Jersey City, NJ), Cpl James HIll ((Worcester, VT), Pvt Richard Yetter (Easton, PA), Marine SGT William E Schultz (Manhattan). Comments: I am Crawford Slagle's Daughter. He would not talk about the conflict until the week before he died in 1983. Then we talked all night about what he went through. I want to know what happened to him and his unit and understand why it was so horrible that he was so speechless all of his life while I was growing up.

Comments: I am the Grand Daughter of Clarence Henry Clipper and i am looking for any information on him. Please if anyone can help me it would be great. He died before i was ever born. I need to find out about him to fill in the gap that I lost.

Keywords: They called him "red" he served in the United States Navy. Was in the Korean war. Entered in 1941 and was captured in 1943 and was a POW for 3yrs.

He was born on May 18, 1931 and he was captured on his 20 th birthday May 18, 1951, I'm so sorry to say that he passed away on his 67 th birthday May 18, 1998.I know God had a reason for him on May 18, I just don't know what it was.I do remember my Mom talking about a Richie from where nthey went to the reunions.

Comments: LOOKING FOR ANYONE WHO WAS ALSO CAPTURED AND SENT TO CAMP 1. MY(MATERNAL) UNCLE THEODORE LANDY WAS CAPTURED ON FEBRUARY 12,1951 AND DIED AT CAMP 1 JUNE 20, 1951. HE WAS WITH THE 503RD ARTILLERY BATTALION. HE WAS WOUNDED AND SUFFERED FROM MALNUTRITION WHILE CAPTURE. IF ANYONE HAS INFORMATION OR SERVED WITH HIM PLEASE WRITE ME BACK. I NEVER KNEW MY UNLCE BECAUSE HE DIED BEFORE I WAS BORN, BUT HE WAS BEST FRIENDS WITH MY FATHER AND I HAVE READ MOST OF HIS LETTERS.
